Multiplication Mayhem

Count by one number as many times as the other number.

Example: 6 × 4
Count by 6s, four times: 6, 12, 18, 24

Double a smaller multiplication you already know.

Example: 6 × 4
If you know 6 × 2 = 12
Then 6 × 4 = double of 12 = 24

Break numbers into smaller parts and make a box.

Example: 6 × 4

Split one number into easier parts to multiply.

Example: 6 × 4
Break 6 into 5 + 1
(5 × 4) + (1 × 4) = 20 + 4 = 24

Build from multiplication facts you already have memorized.

Example: 7 × 6
If you know 7 × 5 = 35
Then 7 × 6 = 35 + 7 = 42
(Just add one more group of 7!)
